Happy New Year from Drs. Jacobs, Diaz, and staff!
The New Year is a great time to look back, and to look ahead. Here at the practice we’ve decided to focus on ocular health for our friends and patients. We’ll be highlighting simple lifestyle changes you can make to improve your vision, and prevent costly and inconvenient eye trouble down the road.
January is Glaucoma Awareness Month!
Glaucoma is a neuro-degenerative disease related to pressure inside the eye. Fluid is always produced and drained from the eye, but glaucoma is caused when the fluid builds up instead of releasing naturally.
Prescription eyedrops can help but did you know that regular exercise can also help?
We will also spend some time this year talking about other visually related issues like Concussion/ Traumatic Brain Injury, Orthokeratology and the advantages of using Scleral lenses. Stay tuned to our monthly newsletters to learn more about them.
From all of the team here at Doctors Jacobs and Diaz Optometrists, we hope your 2018 is off to an exciting start. We look forward to seeing you all sometime this year!
